Lost Planet 3 Review | God is a Geek

God is a Geek: "If you were a fan of the Lost Planet series already, there is a good chance that you wont like Lost Planet 3 very much at all. Mechs are reduced to a mere sideline mainly a form of transport for this game, with most of the action taking place on foot. In that respect, the game is missing the unique identity that made the franchise stand out. There also isnt nearly as much action as fans might be used to. However, the measured pace and involving storyline might well attract a whole new audience to the game, who are looking for a different gameplay experience."

IGN | Lost Planet 3 Review

Lost Planet 3 at least has a respectable story and some combat variety to it, even if the pieces dont always come together quite right. Jumping in and out of the mech keeps it from being just another cover-based shooter. If not for level design thats full of frustrating inconsistencies, it might even have been good enough to fully recommend.

Lost Planet 3 (PlayStation 3) Review - Push Square

Added: 27.08.2013 11:20 | 0 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Solid like a block of ice, and just as unremarkable, Lost Planet 3 is an enjoyable adventure that cobbles together ideas from elsewhere, but doesnt dig its way beyond the basics. Fortunately, its well-paced story and likeable cast warm the overall experience, melting away most of the gameplay's rigid shortcomings."

Lost Planet 3 Review | VideoGamer

VideoGamer: "A mech without guns is like a fry-up without the bacon. You think it'll be alright, but when it comes down to business it feels wrong. Your mech in Lost Planet 3 has no guns. IT HAS NO GUNS! It's also slow, fights like a Real Steel robot controlled with Kinect, can't fly, and breaks down more often than Britney Spears. But hey, at least it can turn into a fixed drilling platform so you can fight in dull Horde Mode-like sequences in the latter third of this prequel set on icy Akrid-infested planet E.D.N. III."
